(1) When you start up the program, the following logon screen appears.

(2) You can then choose a text to read.

(3) The text of your choice appears. You can now begin reading it.

(4) CATERS offers the following "help" functions to assist you with your reading.

(5) In the quiz mode, you can have CATERS ask you questions about the text as if you were in a one-on-one tutorial session. You can select kinds of questions you want to be asked.

(6) This is the quiz mode. A multiple-choice question is posed here. Since it is not a test, the correct answer is readily available (by pressing the "A" button).

(7) The "Show skeleton" function can show you the "skeletal" structure of a sentence. In this example, the topic/subject is in blue and the predicate is in red. This function is useful in comprehending long and complicated sentences.
