Eudora

Eudora/PRO
A commercial version of Eudora (English-only). Versions for the Mac as well as Windows are available.

Eudora-J
A Japanized version of Eudora for the Mac developed by Satoru Nakata. [Go to download page.]

Eudora/PRO-J
A Japanized version of Eudora/PRO developed and marketed by Kuni Research, Inc., Japan. It is NOT a commercial version of Eudora-J. Versions for the Mac as well as Windows are available. (The current version does not work if your host computer has the ESC problem.)

AL-Mail
A popular Japanese-capable POP client program for Windows.

Netscape
A very popular World-Wide Web browser with Japanese-capable e-mail (POP client) and news reader fuctions built-in. Use version 2.0b4 or later.

E-tomo, E-tomo/WIN
An e-mail utility program developed by Atsushi Fukada. It converts text between JIS and Shift-JIS on the fly. It is also equipped with an e-mail message editor. E-tomo is for the Mac and E-tomo/WIN is a version for Windows.

telnet programs
NCSA Telnet
Telnet programs refer to remote terminal emulation programs used with a direct connection. NCSA Telnet is a popular freeware telnet program for the Mac.

communication programs
This group of terminal emulation programs are typically used via a modem to connect to a host computer. White Knight and Microphone for the Mac, for example, belong to this group.
