´ü(¤) means time, moment, or period. It part of compound words such as ³Ø´ü (school term). A way to remember this kanji is to remember that the right radical ·î¡¡means month or moon. So you can think that it is night since the moon is out on the right, and the left radical is a student sitting at a desk, studying behind three books. At the moment the student is stretching and you can see the student's hands above the books.
