K312

is the kanji from the word ʽ [kyoukasho], meaning "textbook", as well as ̲ [bekka], meaning "special academic division".

To remember this kanji, I think about the left hand radical as a person with a little graduation cap on his head, to show that he's an Academic. Then I imagine the right hand radical as the blackboard that the Academic is doing division on. The Academic is doing division! And that is how I remember the kanji for "academic division".
