This kanji, ¤À¤ó, means "talk" or "conversation." This definition is emphasized by the presence of the left radical, which represents speech. The right side looks like two people who could be having a conversation. Also, the placement of one above the other implies a hierarchy, which makes sense in the context of the compound form, ÁêÃÌ, meaning "to consult."
