2014 Maymester in China

From May 9 to 22, 2013, the Confucius Institute co-sponsored and taught portion of the Maymester course to China with 13 Purdue students and 8 students from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. A true cross-cultural communication and collaborative learning, American and European students studied in China about multicultural organizations in China, learned basic Chinese and calligraphy, enjoyed the tremendous foods and tea, and of course, toured the cities extensively. The program has attracted great media attention in Beijing when the students visited Zhang Yiyuan Tea House and practiced tea ceremony as well. The “China in my eyes” photo contest marks the end of the course. This video production is a collection of the course highlights and shows the essence of collaborative Study Abroad experiences between American and European students in China.

The 2014 Maymester course will be once again co-sponsored by the Confucius Institute and we look forward to Purdue students applying for the course.
