The Confucius Institute will offer Basic Mandarin Chinese conversation course in the Fall
This non-credit course is designed for complete adult beginners with no or very little prior knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. Focusing on spoken Chinese, this course will train the participants’ basic conversational skills in standard Chinese with topics ranging from greeting, talking about professions to introducing family and making small talks. After this course, participants will be able to function socially in everyday situations when communicating with Chinese. While memorizing the Chinese characters is optional, we will also introduce the essentials of Chinese characters, or Hanzi, to give the learners a full picture of Mandarin Chinese. Course materials will be provided. The course will run from September 18 to October 23, on Wednesdays from 7 to 9pm. Location will be announced to registered participants.
