The Confucius Institute at Purdue University held a series of events as part of its China Week from September 25 to 30 in West Lafayette, Indiana, USA.  Cultural as well as professional events range from academic conference “China-US Symposium on Sustainability”, cultural show “Amazing China”, to professional networking between US/China companies and Purdue students and cultural presentation on China and Confucianism.

A new group on the scene at Global Fest 2011 is the Confucius Institute at Purdue University Performing Art Troupe (CIPPAT). This troupe consists of 15 women and seven girls who perform folk dances and original works from China.
