The 10th “China Bridge” US Midwest Regional was held at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA, on April 23, 2011. Supported by Hanban and the Consulate General of PRC to Chicago, the regional contest was organized by the Confucius Institute and the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Purdue University. About 40 contestants from ten universities participated in the contest on Purdue campus, filled with spring breeze and blossoms. As a pre-contest for the 10th “China Bridge” in China, this event is also a showcase of Chinese language skills of all students who are currently enrolled in the Chinese language programs.
